I’ve been using Rip-Tie wraps on my cables since the 90’s, and I’m still buying them wherever my work takes me. These wraps look good on cables, stay where they’re supposed to, and keep us untangled and straight under pressure. We color code various lengths or cable types using our Rip-Ties, so the cables themselves can all be otherwise alike.
I love how Rip-Ties stay on the cable while in use, so there’s no hunting for them when it’s breakdown time. Some people like to attach them to the female end of mic cables so that they can be used in dressing the mic stands, but I prefer to have them on the male ends, near the panel or stage box, out of the way until needed. Speaking of attaching them to the cable, I’m really happy with the newer design. The “old” way was just fine, using a wire tie to cinch them onto the cable, but the new design is easier & faster to use, and also resists twisting on the cable once in place.
Over the years, I’ve purchased and used hundreds of these, and I’m still coming back. I’ve never splurged for the company logo on the tab, but if we were on the road and potentially mixing our cables with other companies it would be a no-brainer. I’m very happy to lend my endorsement to this clever and useful product!
